Creating music in and of itself is of course a productive art form, but here around the barn, we’ve been discussing music and it’s correlation to other creative processes.

Many of the Makers admit that music is a natural part of their operations. Mireille, at Everybody Loves Flowers, says the first thing she does when she walks into the shop is turn on her music. Her music preference for creating her pieces is worship music, however when the pressure is on to get a wedding finished, she’s been known to turn up the Billy Idol.

It’s even been studied and found that listening to happy music can help one to be more creative. So while it’s nice to hear the different genres of music around the barn, it’s also interesting to note that it may be boosting and inspiring some of the items you enjoy from each maker.
