What’s the secret ingredient that takes a drink from average to exceptional? For local fermenters Garage- East, it’s a bold blend of harmony, hard work and quality. As a team, Todd and Kelly Bostock and Brian and Megan Ruffentine come from different professional backgrounds. Their passion for making interesting fermented fruit drinks unites them.
Fruit grown in Willcox and Elgin is turned into traditional grape wine, but they’re not bound to conventional methods. Garage- East experiments with the base fruit to create wines from a variety of fruits at different stages in the fermentation process. Garage- East’s flavorful fermentations and collective heart for their harvest give them a compelling voice at the Barnone dinner table.
